Saturday Morning, September 8th, The ARES DEC for Region One, Allan Valeo, NN1H, ran a training session for 10 Radio Amateurs from the Brigeport Area.

The purpose of the course was to give the students a basic understanding of operating in Directed Nets and a basic understanding of Messaging principles. The session was formatted as two mini courses in PowerPoint Presentation. The two sections went for a total of almost two and a half hours combined and a part of the session on Messaging concentrated on the ARRL Radiogram Form. The students now have a foundation to be more universally helpful wherever they go.

The written comments from the attendees were complimentary. There were three question and answer periods and there were some good random questions during the presentation. All in all, it was a well received and lively session and either of the two presentations would make a good Guest Spot for a Club Meeting.  Allan, NN1H,  DEC, Region One
